B. Vinoth’s three older brothers have set a great example for him. One is a mason, one is a mechanic and one is an electrician. B. Vinoth wanted to pursue a trade just like his brothers, but could not afford the welding kit required for his training at the Padma Industrial School. Robert, thank you for your gift of a welding kit. Now B. Vinoth will have a trade too!

This is Venkatesan. He grew up in a small village called Engan in Tamil Nadu. Rajangam, his father, and Amsavalli, his mother, have high hopes for his studies at the Padma Industrial School. Unfortunately Venkatesan could not afford the required electrical kit. Thanks to a generous contribution, Venkatesan is now hard at work on his training.

This is Vijayabalan. He grew up in the Tiruvarur district in the Southern state of Tamil Nadu. His father is a mason and his mother is a homemaker. He attends the Padma Industrial School for vocational training, and his electrical kit was sponsored by a generous donation from Chris. Thank you Chris!

In this photo you see some of the tools included in an Electrical Kit, as they are being used by Mr. Manikandan. This Kit (a gift from a generous donor) is vital for Mr. Manikandan’s training. At the completion of this training, he will have marketable skills to help him get a well-paying job.

Venkatesan grew up in a household that lived on less than $1 a day. He is determined to secure a better life for himself by learning a trade. Thanks to a generous contribution, Venkatesan now has the electrical kit required for his schooling. He looks forward to completing his training and getting a job.

Kannan is a farmer’s son from the Thandalai village. He is training as an electrician to help support his family. A single donation provided Kannan the Welding Kit he required to complete his training at the Padma Industrial School. This training is an investment in Kannan’s future.

This is Mr. Selvan. His father Jayapal is a farm laborer and his mother Valarmathu is a homemaker. Because of the economic hardships his family has faced, Mr. Selvan is determined to pursue vocational training and find a job. Thanks to a gift from Mr. Pradeep, Mr. Selvan is on his way.

Madana Kamaraj is the oldest son in his family. He is determined to demonstrate the importance of education to his younger brother and sister. He enrolled in vocational training as a welder, but could not afford the necessary materials. Thanks to a gift from Suzanne, the Padma Industrial School was able to provide a Welding Kit to Madana.
