Arivazhan is training to acquire welding skills

Arivazhan comes from a very modest family background and lives with his family in Nannilam, Tamil Nadu, India. His father, Arumugam, is a farm labourer and his mother, Ms.Baby, is a home maker. He has two siblings – a brother who works as an assistant in a photo studio and a sister who is studying in the second grade. His father barely earns enough to meet their basic needs and could not afford to get all his children educated.

Arivazhan is a very ambitious boy, who realizes that as a skilled laborer he can earn much more than his father or brother. He is enrolled in the welding trade at the Padma Industrial School.
