P. Surendar is an ambitious young man. He decided to join the Padma Industrial School to supplement his family’s income. His father, Mr. Panneer, is a farm laborer and his mother, Ms. P. Sumathi, is a home maker. He has two siblings.  His brother is a caterer and his sister is working on her BA degree.  Surendar’s family income is just 12000 rupees per year ($260). With his new training and skills, Surendar will earn a monthly income between $65-85.
