Assist a youth in starting a welding shop!
Welding is a valuable skill set in India given its huge base of small-scale manufacturing and fabrication units.
The Padma Industrial School runs a 1 year welding course that trains students in welding. After completion of this course, these students find jobs with various small-scale manufacturing units in nearby towns and villages.
The welding toolkit will enable a trained person to do basic welding jobs. With this toolkit as a basic investment, a student can either start working at a manufacturing unit where welding is done or start his own business where he works as a contractor for his end clients.
